Due diligence for real estate in Paros / Antiparos

Buying real estate is a significant move and that’s why buyers ask for a complete legal and technical due diligence before signing a final contract or making a down payment.

The first step after deciding that a real estate meets your needs is the legal due diligence. The Buyer’s lawyer will obtain the title of ownership of the Seller, review the title and the pre-owners’ titles, verify whether the property belongs to the Seller and check if there are any legal burdens (mortgages, claims, seizures).

The legal check for properties in Paros and Antiparos takes place in the Land Registry of Paros. Once it’s completed, the lawyer crafts a complete legal report.

If the lawyer gives the buyer the green light, the buyer can either sign a preliminary contract to reserve tha property or proceed with a final contract.
