Due diligence for real estate in Paros / Antiparos

Buying real estate is a significant move and that’s why buyers ask for a complete legal and technical due diligence before signing a final contract or making a down payment.

The first step after deciding that a real estate meets your needs is the legal due diligence. The Buyer’s lawyer will have to get the title of ownership of the Seller, review the title and the preowners’ titles, see if the property still belongs to the Seller and check if there is any legal burden (mortgages, claims, seizures).

The legal check for properties in Paros and Antiparos takes place in the Land Registry of Paros. When it’s completed, the lawyer writes down a complete legal report where he confirms what he checked.

If the lawyer gives the buyer the green light, he can either sign a preliminary contract to reserve tha property (since there is a huge interest for properties in Paros) or proceed with a final contract.

Our law office can guide you from the first day you imagine yourself in your own house in Paros, handling the legal due diligence, drawing up a preliminary contract, collecting all the necessary documents, issuing a tax number, opening a Greek bank account, dealing with the Seller, signing the final contract for you, etc.. The whole procedure of buying a real estate can even be completed without the buyer’s physical presence.
